1 – Chase away stress

Finally, the big vacation departure is approaching. But for many of us, this departure is synonymous with stress … Are we talking about that unbearable phenomenon where a few days before your departure, everyone wakes up at work and overwhelms you with work? And then, panic on board “How am I going to be able to finish everything before leaving?” Often, this stress accumulated over the last few days of work follows us with our luggage…

What can help is to be a little organized. Plan , make “to do lists” of what you still have to do both at work and on the personal side. Yes, yes, that sets the tone too. Then, delegate the tasks you can to your colleagues, that way, everything is under control and less stress in your absence!

2 – Condition yourself

Physically, you’re not there yet, but what if in your head you’re already on vacation a little? 🙂 First rule: treat yourself!  Start a few days before your departure, whether it’s with a dish you fancy, buying a swimsuit, anything to get yourself in shape!

Imagine your vacation … to experience it a little!  Visualize the place, you are on a beautiful beach with your toes spread out, or in the middle of nature recharging your batteries, hiking, … Visualizing will have a very positive effect on your emotions! Besides, take the opportunity to browse through some guides and learn a little more about your destination 😉

3 – Don’t endure your trip anymore

Raise your hand if you don’t get cramps, pins and needles, or creaky bones after flying? Lucky you! For the rest of you (normal people), yoga can help you add a little sweetness to your trip . On a plane, the good thing is that you have time to kill, but the bad thing is that you have little space… Check out the adapted exercises recommended by the yogini from Le Prochain Voyage by clicking HERE .

4 – Disconnect

You won’t be able to enjoy yourself if you take all your work with you! Easier said than done, that’s for sure… This is the perverse effect of being able to work from anywhere and at any time today, thanks to smartphones, laptops, tablets…  They prevent you from living your vacation in the present moment and enjoying what you have around you.

To avoid being a slave to it , stop texting all the time, leave devices that are not essential, turn off the phone when you don’t want to be disturbed, and stop feeding your Instagram, Facebook or other networks! Post one if you want, but then socialize in real life, it’s much more rewarding 😉

5 – Breathe

Vacations are the perfect opportunity to clear your mind . Set aside some free time just for yourself, to let your mind wander, to reconnect with yourself , to leave the hustle and bustle and all your daily worries aside. You need to give yourself time. Breathe , fill your lungs with the pure air of nature (depending on where you are…), meditate… Yes, it’s a good time to finally get serious about meditation! Which brings us to the next part
